Foto: Eduardo Coutinho, Bioparque Pantanal.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Segundo a diretora-geral do Bioparque, Maria Fernanda Balestieri, a expedi\u00e7\u00e3o agregou conhecimento sobre a biodiversidade de um dos principais ecossistemas brasileiros, o Pantanal, e promoveu um rico trabalho de conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental com a comunidade ribeirinha.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Com o lema &#8216;Conhecer para conservar&#8217;, buscamos por meio de trabalho em campo coletar o maior n\u00famero de informa\u00e7\u00f5es para subsidiar os trabalhos de pesquisa, conserva\u00e7\u00e3o e bem-estar animal realizados no Bioparque. Projetos como este contribuem para a consolida\u00e7\u00e3o do maior aqu\u00e1rio de \u00e1gua doce do mundo, como um espa\u00e7o de experi\u00eancia e conhecimento para todos&#8217;, afirma Balestieri.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Coleta de dados e esp\u00e9cie in\u00e9dita<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Os dados coletados no bioma pantaneiro ser\u00e3o utilizados para subsidiar projetos de pesquisas j\u00e1 em andamento, o trabalho de conserva\u00e7\u00e3o e bem-estar animal. Foram coletadas esp\u00e9cies que ainda n\u00e3o faziam parte do plantel do Bioparque, como o Jacund\u00e1 (Crenicichla sp.), Peixe Barbado (Pinirampus pirinampu) e a Sardinha (Triportheus spp.).<\/p>\n<p>O destaque fica para o Jacund\u00e1, cuja esp\u00e9cie n\u00e3o se encontra presente em nenhum outro aqu\u00e1rio p\u00fablico do mundo, sendo o exemplar do Bioparque Pantanal in\u00e9dito em ambiente controlado para estudos de bem-estar, comportamento, conserva\u00e7\u00e3o e nutri\u00e7\u00e3o da nova esp\u00e9cie do plantel.<\/p>\n<p>O animal ser\u00e1 alvo de estudos do programa de conserva\u00e7\u00e3o de peixes neotropicais do CCPN (Centro de Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o de Peixes Neotropicais) do Bioparque Pantanal.<\/p>\n<div id=\"gallery-1\" class=\"gallery Compreender todo este sistema \u00e9 a meta dos pesquisadores do Bioparque para poder criar pol\u00edticas de conserva\u00e7\u00e3o&#8221;, explica o bi\u00f3logo curador do Bioparque Pantanal, Heriberto Gim\u00eanes Junior.<\/p>\n<p>A express\u00e3o \u2018esp\u00e9cie guarda-chuva\u2019 refere-se a esp\u00e9cies cuja conserva\u00e7\u00e3o proporciona benef\u00edcios indiretos a muitas outras esp\u00e9cies e ao ecossistema em geral. Estamos estudando a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre a ictiofauna e as plantas aqu\u00e1ticas para balizar estudos sobre a estrutura de popula\u00e7\u00f5es do curso baixo do rio Paraguai-Mirim\u201d, analisou Contamos com piscinas, gelo para manter a temperatura da \u00e1gua, estrutura para renova\u00e7\u00e3o constante de \u00e1gua e filtros\u201d, detalhou Kovalski.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Ambiental nas Comunidades Ribeirinhas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A equipe do Bioparque Pantanal realizou a\u00e7\u00f5es inclusivas de educa\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental e lazer com moradores da Comunidade Paraguai-Mirim e descendentes da etnia Guat\u00f3, ao norte da Serra do Amolar. Utilizando \u00f3culos de realidade aumentada, os ribeirinhos e povos origin\u00e1rios puderam visitar virtualmente o maior aqu\u00e1rio de \u00e1gua doce do mundo. Com o apoio do IHP (Instituto Homem Pantaneiro), a equipe se reuniu com o Anci\u00e3o da etnia Guat\u00f3, o senhor Vicente Manoel da Silva, 89 anos, \u00faltimo a dominar a l\u00edngua origin\u00e1ria Guat\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>A cultura e os costumes dos Guat\u00f3s est\u00e3o conectados a Vicente que desde jovem aprendeu, dentre v\u00e1rias atividades, a construir canoas. Os Guat\u00f3s s\u00e3o conhecidos por sua tradi\u00e7\u00e3o em navega\u00e7\u00e3o nos rios e o Bioparque Pantanal atualmente conta com uma leg\u00edtima canoa Guat\u00f3s em Foto: Lara Miranda, Bioparque Pantanal.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A professora doutora Cl\u00e1ucia Honorato, da UFGD, realizou pesquisas e coletas de animais para estudos de adapta\u00e7\u00e3o dos peixes \u00e0s mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas no bioma Pantanal, acompanhada pelo estudante de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Engenharia de Aquicultura Jos\u00e9 Guilherme Camargo Coneglian e pela m\u00e9dica-veterin\u00e1ria Let\u00edcia Maria Albuquerque Concei\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNosso objetivo \u00e9 entender a quest\u00e3o adaptativa bioqu\u00edmica destes peixes, o quanto de plasticidades eles tem para conseguir se adaptar \u00e0s altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas que est\u00e3o ocorrendo. Foto: Eduardo Coutinho, Bioparque Pantanal.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Outra frente de pesquisa incluiu a produ\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica de um guia ilustrado do rio Paraguai-Mirim, com apoio do professor doutor Jos\u00e9 Sabino (UEMS), do professor doutor Leandro Melo de Sousa (UFPA) e dos pesquisadores Oliver Lucanus e Margaret Kalacska da Universidade McGill.<\/p>\n<p>A expedi\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m contou com o apoio log\u00edstico do do Imasul (Instituto de Meio Ambiente de Mato Grosso do Sul).
